Roller Coaster.....

The boys family's story is like a roller coaster ride...you never know when the story is going to go up or down, turn left or right, straight ahead or backwards.

The mom and dad told the social worker last week that the great aunt still needs to get the beds set up and then the people will come back out the the great aunt's home to complete the homestudy (I know that did not sound right for the home study to be completed without the room being set up completely for the boys). Then after they come back out and the home study is approved and received by our social worker here the great aunt still wants one to two weeks notice before the boys are moved to her home.

Today the boys social worker told me that the mom and dad said the great aunt has been acting very strange toward them and telling them they need to get their act together and raise their own kids. Now the mom and dad are now sure that it is going to work out for the great aunt to take the boys. I have thought for a while now that something was not right with this great aunt and have told the social worker and my husband over and over that something just isn't right about this. I am really wondering if either she has figured out that she just cannot handle all 4 of the boys (she is 62 yrs old) or is she to thinks that the mom is pregnant and really thinks that she cannot handle 4 boys and a newborn baby.

Mom told the social worker today that the great aunt now has the beds but the beds are not put up. Who knows if this is even true or not since the story keeps changing from week to week sometimes from day to day.

Mom and Dad are supposedly looking for a house to rent now. This to changes from week to week with no progress.

This is the third week in a row that both boys have left the visit without crying. I keep talking to both of them about being happy to see their mom and dad and being happy when they leave. Also reminding them that we will take them back to see them next week. It is such a relief that they are no longer crying after the visits!

Next court date is November 23.

  1. i am glad they aren't crying anymore, that is kinda AWESOME and kinda sad as far as their relationship with their parents goes.

i am not surprised that the great aunt is flaking out.
