Update

Last month I went to criminal court for Carrot Top’s Mom.  I was not sure how she was going to feel about me showing up whether she would view it as me having good intentions or just being down right nosey.  I thought the best thing was for me to go, that Carrot Top would want me to go and show support for his Mom first of all.  Second, so that we could know what was going on with her criminal case which of course effects Carrot Top.  So, I went.

I was the first person to arrive that she knew.  As soon as I walked in the door she began to cry, looked and me and quietly mouthed the words thank you to me.  I mouthed back you are welcome and took a picture of Carrot Top from my purse and held it up for her to see.  She cried harder.  I prayed for her that the best thing would happen for her to get her life together…..whatever that may be.

After several other people had gone before the judge, her attorney and the DA took her to the back into a conference room.  Long story short she never went before the judge.  Other charges have to be taken care of in another county and then hopefully she will appear again before the judge again and hope for in patient rehab. This was about three weeks ago and as of today she is still sitting in the same jail and nothing has happened.  I don’t know what will take place.  Makes it very difficult to work your services and have your child returned to you when you have been arrested three times since CPS removed your child from you.

The next C*P*S court hearing is mid September.  The county’s plan is to leave the case plan as is for now.  Dad is expected to get out of prison soon and the county wants to give him the opportunity to work the case.  We will see.

Carrot Top continues to do wonderful and is such a joy to have in our home.  We love him so so muchJ
