Got a Call

1 comment:

  1. Last Thursday I worked until 2pm. Normally I check my email once last time before logging off but for some strange reason this day I did not. On Friday I came into work and the first thing I noticed was an email from our FAD worker. Then email said, "Would you be interested in a 7 week old and 5 yr old girl?" I could not believe what I was reading .... 7 weeks and 5 yrs.

I immediately called the FAD worker. The children had already been removed and were placed with their grandma who did not pass her homestudy. They were looking to move the girls in one to two weeks. I called my hunny, then called our FAD worker back. She had a dr apptand would call me back around 11am with further details but asked me to check and make sure I could find daycare.

Fast forward to 11:15am. I found and have daycare sitting on go when our FAD worker calls me and says that investigations found another home and placed the girls even though our FAD worker told them yesterday she was confident we would take the placement and investigations said they were not moving the girls for one to two weeks.

Even though my excitement quickly turned to great disappointment ...... I responded to our FAD worker with:
It's okay _______, this just means it was not meant fir them to be with us and God has other children that are supposed to be with us.

Our FAD worker agreed and apologized several times.

Many times his weekend and today I have thought of these girls and said a prayer for them.

I worked on the foster room this weekend and have it all ready again for its new addition to our family to join us. I feel deep within that we will be getting a call this week and have been really preparing in many ways.

Praying for the next children that are coming to our home, God already knows who they are and their situation.
