Visitiation

The boys had there weekly visit this afternoon. And yes Big Boy still cries really hard at the end of the visit. Today mom brought all kinds of sweets for them....twinkies, cookies, Mondo juice, etc. So in addition to crying the boys were on a bit of a sugar high.

Great Aunt told the social worker that she has everything completed to become a licensed foster home and asked the social worker to let her know when she has the approval for the boys to be moved to her home. Great Aunt stated after the approval she will then need one week to get the boys beds all set up before they come to her home.

What??? What??? You are becoming a licensed foster home and you do not have the beds set up in the rooms and you are stating that you have done everything at your home you need to do? Better yet you are going to prolong the boys coming for one additional week after you receive an approval for them to be moved to set up beds? Why in the heck would you not do this now woman and be ready to move your nephews, all four of them, into your home as soon as you can if you are really concerned about their well being?

Are you? Are you really concerned about their well being? You have already prolonged their stay in the "foster system" that you stated you do not want them to be in by becoming a licensed foster home instead of a kinship placement.

Today a little pain shot through my heart as the social worker gave me the update of the Great Aunt. I am going to miss these two little guys very much.....but I hope one day their family can get it together and be a healthy loving family for the boys.
