When will I stop being surprised by the sudden turns that foster care can and will take? 

Carrot Tops scheduled visit with his Mom is every Thursday afternoon for one hour.  I wait until we are getting ready for daycare the morning of and then I mention to him it is visit day and what will be taking place.  Exactly what I did this morning.

Mid morning I get a phone call from Carrot Tops case worker telling me there will not be a visit today.  I was able to piece things together and sure enough his Mom is back in jail.  ARRESTED LAST NIGHT FOR THE SECOND TIME SINCE HE HAS BEEN PLACED IN OUR HOME!!

We have court for Carrot Top tomorrow....more of a placement hearing but this should be interesting.  Very interesting to see how the judge reacts....
