Sweet Pea

    Can't seem to sleep so I thought I'd take a moment to tell a little about Sweet Pea. Apparently there were problems with mom doing drugs and drinking while Sweet Pea was in here care. Mom was also leaving her unattended and also couldn't remember who she had left Sweet Pea with to care for her. Dad reported Mom for these things happening while he was at work.

    Mom then makes reports against Dad. I'm not sure exactly what those reports were but I do know there was also reports of Sweet Pea being thrown on the bed. Also, an incident with her bottle injuring her mouth.

    Sweet Pea at some point was with Maternal Grandma and she was found to be doing marijuana.

    Sweet Pea was moved to her Paternal Aunt and I believe the Dad was also living there. Allegations of sexual abuse were made against the uncle and this is when we get a call for placement.

    My understanding is that Paternal Grandma will have a homestudy completed.

    Meanwhile the judge has called a placement hearing this week. The social Wrkr believes it is just so that the judge can get up to date but she said there is a slight chance Sweet Pea could be moved. If she would be moved to a good loving family member then I hope she is able to go. If not she is welcome to stay as long as she needs us.

    Thank goodness I was able to find Daycare for her. So far I am not real sure what I think about this Daycare though. This is the first time I have used them. I will just continue to monitor and see what I think. Problem is with infants there are not many options in our town.
    Sweet Pea does thankfully sleep through the night!!! She is used to being held alot but is starting to do better with that. Otherwise she is just the sweetest baby with the chubbiest cheeks!!!!!
