Sunday night I was putting Neosporin on the 3 year old scatches and bug bites. He has a scar on his face that stays red....sometimes redder than other times. After his bath this scar was really red.
I told him the spot on his face sure was red and we need to put some medicine on it.
He said on my face?
I said yes right here and pointed to the scar on his cheek.
He said "name of his dad" cut my face.
I said what did you say and called him by name.
He again told me "name of his dad" cut my face.
I said well let's put this medicine on it to help it get better.
We then went in the living room and he told my husband that "name of dad" slap my face and then slapped hisself to show us.
There are five of these scars that look very similar in size. Four on his face and one on his arm, I emailed the social worker on Monday and told her what he had told us about the dad. She asked if I could email pics of these scars. I tried to email all of the pics I have taken to her but the emails kept coming back undeliverable.
I called her and sure enough she had gotten none of the emails. I told her if it would be helpful I would print them and bring to her at court in the morning. So, after work I went to CVS to have them printed.
Since this was an emergency removal C*P*S must prove their case tomorrow at court. I sure hope they have their ducks in a row because there is no way these boys need to go back there. The mother also tested positive for meth and dad did not show up for his drug test but yet was allowed to visit the kids during the supervised visitation last week. I have a very strong feeling that there is more to this case than meets the eye right now.
Praying that court goes well tomorrow and these boys remain with us until their parents can turn this ship around and work a service plan so they can give these boys the kind of home they need.....

there is always MUCH more to the story than there appears to be. with both our kids I have had to be their voice in this system. When kids tell these stories, especially young kids, they are telling the truth and unless we fight for them no one hears them.
ReplyDeleteas savannah's lawyer has said, "if it isn't documented in the court paper work or reports...it never happened."
i am finding this to be a VERY scary truth right now.
