We had a very low key around our house this weekend. Well except for the part where Lil Boy has had some fever and they are both coughing, coughing. Took Lil Man to the dr last week and they started him on Allegra. Lil Boy has just had a tiny bit of fever today. We were supposed to go swimming but didn't because of the fever and cough. Nothing bad by any means but I did not want to make it worse before their visit with bio parents tomorrow.
Think we have finally gotten our vacation dates down. Because of my husbands recent promotion and a couple of other reasons, we are going to have to go in August. Not my first choice but hey,,,,I JUST NEED A VACATION!
So, now I just have to talk to my boss in the next couple of days to get the okay. It is not a time I would normally take off but I really don't have a choice. I am sure it will work out though:)
Lil Boy had a hard time last night. I was rocking him after I had rocked Lil Man to sleep and poor guy was crying for his mom, brothers, and dad. It is so sad to watch how those times come and go for both of the boys.
All the time I tell both boys this is their home to....their toys, their bedroom, their car, their house you get the picture. Usually they just look at me and occasionally Lil Boy shakes his head know if I go beyond saying more than this is your bedroom and your toys. Well suddenly yesterday Lil Boy looks at me and Pops (my husband) and says this my house? This Bubba's house? All this my house? We assured him that is was. It was as if the light bulb of acceptance was turned on. It was a sweet moment but then again in my mind (not outloud) I thought of how sad it really was.
Okay, back to vacation. We are going to be watching the beach reports and keeping our eye on our destination beach....Destin, FL. I think Lil Boy finally understood we are going somewhere. I just hope they are still her when August rolls around. But we all know how slow homestudies are much less when ICPC is involved in the process.
If you have ever been to Destin, FL I would appreciate any suggestions:)
Boys have visitation tomorrow with bio mom, bio dad, and bio brothers. These are the hard days and times....
